Information about arriving at and departing from the Ski for Light, Inc. International Week in 2026 is presented below. Please read all information carefully to ensure that your travel to and from Ski for Light goes smoothly. After reading this information and making your travel plans, complete and submit the Arrival and Departure Form below. This information will be sent to the Transportation Coordinator and your Application Coordinator.

Please note that no matter how and when you are travelling to Snow Mountain Ranch we must know the details of your plans. Each person planning to attend SFL is requested to submit the arrival and departure form.

If you will be flying with a service animal, also be sure to review the requirements of your airline for such travel, and to submit the Service Animal Travel Form that you must submit to the airline before travelling.

Your Day of Arrival

Your scheduled day of arrival at Snow Mountain Ranch is shown in your Acceptance Letter. For most people this will be Sunday, February 1st. Major exceptions are Board members, who arrive on Thursday January 29th, Guide Trainers, who arrive on Friday, January 30th, and first- and second-year guides, who arrive on Saturday, January 31st.

If you wish to arrive or depart on a day different from what is shown in your acceptance letter please be sure to discuss your wishes with your Applications Coordinator before making your final plans.

Getting To and From Snow Mountain Ranch

Unless you are driving to Snow Mountain Ranch you will want to fly into and out of the Denver International Airport for your trip to Ski for Light. The Denver Airport is about 115
miles from Snow Mountain Ranch, a trip that usually takes from 2.5 to 3 hours depending
on traffic and the weather.

You may make your own plans for getting to Snow Mountain Ranch or meet the SFL contingent at the Denver Airport from where free charter bus transportation will be provided, on designated days and at designated times. In making your plans, please be aware that check-in time at Snow Mountain Ranch is 4:00 pm.

SFL transportation from the Denver airport to Snow Mountain Ranch will be provided only on Thursday January 29th, Friday January 30th, Saturday January 31st and Sunday February 1st. The SFL bus from the Denver airport to Snow Mountain Ranch on each of these days will depart promptly at 3:00 pm. If there is sufficient demand to warrant a second bus on Sunday February 1st, it will leave at 1:00 pm. Be careful to schedule your flight into Denver to arrive at no later than 1:30 pm, to allow sufficient time for you to retrieve your luggage and make your way to the meeting area in time to make the SFL bus. Please note that if your incoming flight is scheduled to land at or before 1:30 pm, the SFL bus will wait for you if your flight arrives late, or SFL personnel will make alternate plans for getting you to Snow Mountain Ranch.

SFL transportation back to the Denver airport will be provided only on Sunday Morning February 8th. The earliest bus will not arrive at the airport before 8:30 am, so do not schedule a departing flight for earlier than 10:00 am.

Meeting The SFL Group at The Denver Airport on Your Arrival Day

You will be notified by e-mail about a week before your arrival date where to meet the SFL group in the Denver Airport.

Alternative Transportation Between the Denver Airport and Snow Mountain Ranch

If you schedule your arrival in Denver at a time that does not coincide with the transportation service that SFL is providing, you will need to arrange your own transportation to Snow Mountain Ranch, at your own expense. Your options will be to take the Home James shuttle, rent a car, or alternatively change your arrival day to one day earlier and stay at one of the many airport hotels so that you can take the SFL bus the next day.

Home James operates 11 trips daily from the Denver airport to Snow Mountain Ranch, at a one-way cost of about $90 per person. To learn the exact Home James current rates and schedule, and to make a reservation on their van, call (833) 274-3397 or visit their website.

If you wish to depart the Denver airport earlier than 10:00 am on Sunday February 8th please remember that the SFL charter bus will not get you to the airport in time for an early-morning flight. You will need to check with Home James to determine if their scheduled service from Snow Mountain Ranch to the Denver airport will meet your needs. If not, your options will be to rent a car, or alternatively plan to leave Snow Mountain Ranch on Saturday via Home James, and couple that with an overnight stay at a Denver airport hotel or a departing flight on Saturday.

If Your Plans Change or You Have Travel Problems

If your plans change after submitting the Arrival and Departure Form please send your revised itinerary directly to Michael McCulloch, the Transportation coordinator, using his contact information found at the bottom of the form below.

If you encounter flight delays or other problems on your actual travel day please contact Michael McCulloch, the Transportation Coordinator, by phone or text message to apprise him of your situation. Be sure to have his cell phone number, (832) 453-7139with you on your travel day. If you send Bob a text message, be sure to include your name in the message.
