Apres Ski Sessions

2026 Ski for Light International Week

Snow Mountain Ranch – Granby, Colorado
February 1 – February 8, 2026

One of the highlights of the non-skiing portion of each Ski for Light International week, for most people, are the Apres Ski Sessions that are held several afternoons after skiing. Apres Ski Sessions are informal gatherings of participants to hear and learn about someone’s hobby, job, culture, or interests, or about a topic of interest such as adaptive equipment, ski equipment, or almost any topic you can think of that would be of interest to others. Some examples of popular Apres Ski Sessions from previous years are:

  • Outdoor activities such as mountain trekking, sailing, white-water rafting, tandem bicycling, beep baseball
  • Ski waxing
  • Massage therapy
  • Ballroom dancing
  • Working with a guide dog
  • New and helpful technologies and gadgets
  • Sing along around the piano or guitar
  • Conversational Norwegian
  • Attending the Ridderrennet (the Norwegian event that was the inspiration for SFL)
  • Poetry

Please consider sharing your own hobby, skill or area of special interest with others during the SFL week. If interested in organizing and conducting such a session, please complete and submit the form below. Karen Wood, the Apres Ski Session coordinator for 2026, will be in contact with you after your form is submitted to discuss your session in more detail.
